摘要
This paper analyses the Golden Age Spanish theatre recreations of Nebuchadnezzar's biblical history. Specifically, the paper reviews two important stages in these recreations: Las maravillas de Babilonia, attributed to Guillen de Castro, and El bruto de Babilonia, by three authors: Juan de Matos Fragoso, Jeronimo de Cancer y Agustin de Moreto. Different rewrites indicate a close relationship between the two dramatic texts through intertextuality and other influences.
