A grid service discovery approach based on compatibility description

摘要
The exact matching and similarity matching are the current mainstream methods for service discovery. Although they seem to provide a good solution to the problem, how to achieve both the exactness and flexibility in practical use remains unsettled. In this paper, aiming at the characteristics of Grid applications, we illustrate a compatibility relationship among services and the possible application scenario. On the basis a novel compatibility based service discovery approach is presented. The existing WS-Inspection based discovery model is adopted as the implementation architecture. Some detailed aspects of this approach are also discussed in this paper.
