摘要
Bi-static, dual-polarized antenna array subsystem with high isolation between transmitting (TX) and receiving (RX) ports is proposed. Each array consists of eight active patch antenna elements built on a single layer substrate. Microstrip and substrate integrated waveguide (SIW) feed networks are used to excite broadside and scanned beams. It is shown that > 10 dB improvement in isolation can be achieved by employing SIW over microstrip. Each array has realized gain > 11.9 dBi and > 6.1 dBi for broadside and scanned beam (@ theta = 55 degrees and phi=0 degrees), respectively. Measured isolation > 50 dB is achieved between the TX and RX arrays fed by SIW.
