摘要
Over the last years, Spain has become the biggest immigrant-receiving country of the European Union. This has meant that immigrants' children have joined our schools, which has posed hitherto unknown challenges. We should be aware of the importance of mastering the school language for good educational achievement. Moreover, it is also important to know immigrant students' attitudes towards these linguistic codes and the social collectives who use such languages. In this context, with a sample of 390 native students and 180 immigrant students, our work analyses the language attitudes towards the Basque and Spanish languages. Overall, the results obtained allow us to confirm students' positive attitudes towards these languages. However, it seems that their country of origin has a strong influence on their attitudes towards these languages. The most significant variations are found in students from Latin America.
