摘要
A new type of bioreactor, the immobilized soil bioreactor, was tested for the aerobic biodegradation of phenol in aqueous solutions. The bioreactor was used for two purposes: (1) development of aerobic, phenol-degrading microbial consortium and (2) carrying out the process of biodegradation. As a result of this study, an active consortium was developed. The volumetric rate of biodegradation was up to 0.2 g/L.h. However, the long-term stability of the process was a problem due to the uncontrolled biofilm growth.
