摘要
In a knowledge based society the quality's improvement of decision making process is a continuous subject for managers. Experts focused their research work on discovering new methods and tools to offer support in decision process. A special attention is given to knowledge management in fields like finance, medicine, education, business and others. Knowledge became a significant topic for organizations and knowledge - based systems appeared as a natural need. Nowadays, the research directions combine classic decision methods with modern approaches as artificial intelligence influences. Expert systems may easily integrate in decision systems in order to assist human experts in a specific domain, encouraging organizations to clarify the logic of their decision making. A wide area of expert system applications includes diagnosis, planning, scheduling, predictions, process monitoring and control. A typical application of expert system is in academic environment. In this paper, the authoress presents the implications of expert systems in decision making process, highlighting the benefits of expert systems.
