The union decertification process: Contractor's rights

The Labor Management Relations Act of 1947 set forth the provisions for the decertification of a union. However, the permissible and impermissible activities and rights of management and supervisory personnel during the decertification process are not widely known. Contractors should be aware of their rights during the decertification election process. In this paper the decertification process, consisting of three stages: initiation, petition, and election is described with the permissible and impermissible activities and rights of the contractor being presented for each stage.
