Study of distributed workflow management system based on mobile agent

The workflow management is regarded as an effective mechanism for managing business processes behind electronic commerce. With the advent of globalization, many enterprises dynamically form temporary alliances, which are called virtual enterprises. The traditional centralized, workflow management system can't be fit for the complex distributed environment. Thus, in this paper, we analyses the drawbacks of the traditional, workflow management system and research the feasibility of mobile agent in heterogeneous, autonomous and distributed environment, and then present a novel distributed workflow management system model based on mobile agent.
