Propagation characteristics of a partial chiroplasma filled cylindrical waveguide

摘要
From Maxwell equations, a fundamental theory for chiroplasma media is given. In terms of the theory, a dispersion equation for the circular cross section cylindrical waveguide partially filled with the chiroplasma is derived. Numerical solution of the equation gives the propagation diagram of HE11, EH01, and HE21, waveguide modes. It is found that the propagation characteristics of plasma waveguides still retain in the presence of the chirality admittance. With the increase of the region of the chiroplasma, the dispersive curves of EH01, mode are shifted toward the higher frequencies.
