2.7-μm Er3+:Y2O3 ceramics laser in CW and Fe2+:ZnSe passively Q-switched modes

摘要
Laser operation of the Er3+:Y2O3 ceramics pumped by 976 nm laser diode in CW and passively Q-switched modes was studied. The CW laser power at 2.7 mu m reached 1.2 W at 8 degrees C temperature. The passively Q-switched operation in kHz repetitively-pulsed mode was obtained by a polycrystalline Fe2+:ZnSe saturable absorber.
