摘要
A new design for enhancing impedance bandwidth of an ultra-wideband (UWB) slot antenna on a textile material is proposed in this paper. Symmetric slots are used in a semi-circular patch antenna to improvise the bandwidth. The antenna is designed and simulated on different fabrics; jeans, flannel and cotton and tested for their performance in terms of return loss and radiation characteristics. These antennas are simulated with a human phantom, fabricated and tested around human vicinity and it is seen that they work well with flannel and exhibit a return loss greater than 10dB in the frequency band: 4GHz to 9GHz. A performance comparison is made with an antenna designed using FR4 substrate.
