Mechanisms of synthesis and transformations of aromatic hydrocarbons on zeolitic molecular sieves

摘要：
The effect of geometry and architecture of different zeolite crystal structures on the reaction mechanisms of the transformation of aromatic hydrocarbons is reviewed. The reaction mechanism of toluene alkylation with methanol to xylenes, xylene isomerization, benzene and toluene alkylation with isopropyl alcohol to iso-and n-propylbenzenes and propyltoluenes and the bimolecular transformation of cumene to n-propylbenzene are discussed in detail. Individual reaction steps in these mechanisms are strongly affected by the shape-selective properties of zeolites used.
