摘要
The present study follows that undertaken by O'Hare and Lawrence (2000) that reviewed 104 articles published in The International Journal of Aviation Psychology (IJAP) for the period from 1991 to 1995 (inclusive). Utilizing the same methodology, continuity and change were traced in the 112 articles published during 1996 to 2000 (inclusive) on the dimensions examined in the inaugural review. It was noted that IJAP articles remain characterized by experimental methods in realistic settings using operational personnel as participants, and the analysis of variance as the primary method of analysis. There was, however, a move toward a greater proportion of articles submitted by multiple authors and a decrease in the number of practitioner articles published. While authors from the United States remained predominant as contributors, one of the most exciting changes identified was the move toward more international participation ensuring that IJAP is truly an internationally focused publication.
