摘要
A new approach is presented to a Distributed Interactive Simulation (DIS) system as the DIS protocols are applied on a civil simulation system which is significantly different from a military one where the DIS protocols were originally created. The particular system concerned in this paper is a traffic simulation system. In this case, no weapon management is needed since there is not such a hostile atmosphere as in the military exercise. Only the calculation within an X-Y plane is sufficient since the movement in Z-axis has no significant effect. An instant simulation model is proposed to enhance the prediction of a remote vehicle originally employed by the DIS dead reckoning. The result shows a significant improvement of the number of PDUs transmitted.
