摘要
Marshall's problem regarding the relationship between economics and physics and biology is considered within the context of the possibility of a transdisciplinary approach that would truly combine the various disciplines. While a combined econophysics is very much an ongoing enterprise, and a possible econobiology may be emerging along several different lines, a full combination of all three is not in sight except possibly in the area of global climate-economy modeling. It is argued that heterogeneous interacting agent forms of complexity are likely to provide the best methods for achieving such transdisciplinary models. (C) 2010 Elsevier B.V. All rights reserved.
