摘要：
Dichloro(N,N-diethyl-ethane-1,2-diamine)copper(II) has copper(II) ions in square pyramidal coordination. The two nitrogen atoms of the diamine {Cu-N(primary) = 1.979(3), Cu-N(tertiary) = 2.108(2) angstrom} and two chloride ions are in the basal plane {Cu-Cl1 = 2.2680(9), Cu-Cl2 = 2.2989(8) angstrom}. A centrosymmetrical dimer di-mu-chloro-bis{chloro(N,N-diethylethane-1,2-diamine-kappa(2))copper(II)}, C(6)Hl(6)Cl(2)CuN(2), is formed by axial coordination by Cl2, trans to the tertiary nitrogen, to a second copper(II) ion, with Cu... Cu(i) = 3.4855(9) and Cl2-Cu(i)= 2.7860(8) angstrom. The dimer is also linked by H-bond Nl-H...Cl1(i).
