摘要
Fifty mature citrus groves in five central and southern Florida counties were surveyed for arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi. Spores extracted from soil by wet sieving were identified, and both washed roots and root-soil mixtures from each sample were used to establish pot cultures with bahiagrass in order to recover species not sporulating abundantly in soil. Five genera (Acaulospora, Gigaspora, Glomus, Enterosphora, and Scutellospora) and 34 species were recovered, with Acaulospora and Glomus spp, being the most common. Nine species of Acaulospora were found, with A. mellea and A. morrowiae occurring at. 40 and 28% of the sites, respectively Fifteen Glomus species were recovered, with G. deserticola and G. intraradices found al 36 and 28% of the sites, respectively.
