Determination of computed tomography dose index:: Thorax exploration technique in computed and helical tomography

摘要：
This paper presents the results obtained for thorax studies of both computed axial tomography (CT) and helical tomography (I-IT) in Mexico using home-made LiF:Mg,Cu,P+PTFE thermoluminescent dosimeters. Results show that, using similar conditions of irradiation and slice (pitch = 1), do not exist significant differences between the absorbed dose in the phantom due to the two types of tomography scanners used.
