OW-VOLTAGE operation is essential for battery-powered wireless designs. One of the most power-hungry components in a cellular or personal-communications-services (PCS) handset is the transmit amplifier, usually a limiting factor in overall mobile-unit power consumption. Fortunately, the latest members of the Triniti DX Pro line of amplifiers from Celeritek (Santa Clara, CA), models CMM0530 and CMM1530, provide cellular and PCS transmit power levels while conserving battery reserves.
