Variation in individual conceptions about the finite limit of a function at a point

In this work we identify and examine changes in specific conceptions about the concept of finite limit of a function at a point. The starting point was the data collected in a previous study focused in a group of high school students One year later, we contrasted these data with those obtained from a new application of the questionnaire to the same students. We selected six questions from the first study and with each one of them we implemented one group semistructured interview. These interviews were designed to study the evolution of student conceptions. The data show that students seem to overcome the general attribution of non-exceedability and unreachability to the limit. We also find that students interpret the exact or approximate character of the limit in a not equivalent way from the definite / indefinite aspect.
