摘要
In this paper, the authors discuss the stress analysis method of the asphaltic concrete core wall of the rock-fill dam. In the traditional method, the stresses of the rock-fill dam is calculated by the finite element method(FEM), and the core wall is treated as beam or general plane quadrilateral element, in which the nonlinear behavior of the asphaltic concrete is not taken into account properly. In this paper, the FEM is used to calculate the stresses of the dam body and iteration method is used for the detailed analysis of the core wall. The results of: an example show that the influence of the nonlinear behavior on the stress distribution of the core wall.
