摘要
A combination of combustion synthesis and quasi-isostatic pressing (QIP) is used for the production of high-density titanium carbide/Ti-Ni cermets. The goals of the study include the minimization of final porosity and the control of the microstructure and phase composition. The parameters which are considered for the optimization include the initial sample porosity, the initial chemical composition, the time delay between ignition and consolidation.
