Revision of the low-temperature structures of rhombohedral ZrCr2Dx (x∼3.8), and monoclinic ZrV2Dx (1.1<x<2.3) and HfV2Dx (x∼1.9)

摘要
The low temperature structures reported for the rhombohedral C14 type derivative ZrCr2D3.8, [Irodova & Suard, J. Alloys Comp. 299 (2000) 32-38] and the monoclinic C15 type derivatives ZrV2Dx (x=2.18, 1.94, 1.48, 1.18) and HfV2D1.92 [Irodova & Suard, J. Alloys Comp. 291 (1999) 184-189] are found to be centrosymmetric rather than non-centrosymmetric. New structure refinements based on the original neutron diffraction data collected at 100 K yield more consistent results and significantly different deuterium atom distributions.
