摘要：
Implementation of multimedia systems and services at reasonable cost depends largely on the progress of semiconductor technology This paper addresses the perspective of the multimedia, and issues & approaches for the solution. Discussions are extended in three categories: high integration, high performance and low power consumption, and short time-to-market. Timely development of leading-edge enabling technologies in the diversified fields is highly required.
