Solvent extraction of Cu(II) by LIX 54-100 and its application to a solid supported liquid membrane system

摘要：
The extraction of Cu(ll) by LIX 54-100 (beta -diketone) in lberfluid (kerosene type diluent) from ammoniacal/ammonium sulphate solutions has been investigated. The analysis of metal distribution data suggested the formation of CuR2 species in the organic phase with formation constant log K-ext= -6.15. The results obtained on Cu(ll) distribution have been implemented in a solid supported liquid membrane system, using H2SO4 solutions tag. 0.9 mol/l) to strip the metal from the organic solution.
