摘要
The paper discusses the methodology of maritime spatial planning (MSP) and the lessons learned through its practical implementation in Poland. The Polish experience has led to formulating the following know-how recommendations: ensuring conscious policy effort (planning is only a part of a broader spatial development process or policy), securing sound axiological foundations, making sure that the MSP has been designed in line with long-term horizon requirements, installing cross-sectoral integration and integration within a given sea basin, and allowing MSP to cover the entire sea space (including its terrestrial part).
