摘要：
The National Prevention and Control Program for AIDS within the Public Health Ministry in Cuba is presented within a socio-historical global and regional epidemiological framework. The objectives of the Prevention Program within the National Health System are presented as well as its various components: sanatories, ambulatory care and program evaluation. The educational intervention strategies which are used for the promotion of health and the prevention of illness are discussed as well as some research efforts which have been undertaken.
