摘要
In this paper, free-air and (simple) Bouguer gravity anomalies are calculated using recent global gravity models (EGM2008, EIGEN6C4, GECO, and WGM2012) over a selected study area in western Anatolia (Turkey). The model-based gravity anomalies are compared with the corresponding terrestrial gravity data in terms of standard deviation and root mean square error for determining the best fit global model over the study area at a regional scale in western Anatolia (Turkey). The results, based on terrestrial gravity points indicated that, with the exception of the Bouguer gravity anomalies from WGM2012, all four models perform about the same over the study area. In the approximation of the free-air gravity anomalies, WGM2012 has a slight advantage than EGM2008, EIGEN6C4, and GECO. The (simple) Bouguer gravity anomaly modelling of EGM2008, EIGEN6C4, and GECO are similar with a slight advantage of EIGEN6C4.
