摘要
Oxygen deficient molybdenum oxide electrodes prepared thermally were characterized by XRD, DTA, ESCA and cyclic voltammetry. The oxygen deficient molybdenum oxides contain trapped electrons at the oxygen ion vacancies, which promotes conductivity. The ferrous/ferric and hydroquinone/quinone redox reactions were studied on these electrodes. This electrochemical response is compared with respect to the electrochemically prepared oxygen deficient molybdenum oxide electrode. The experimental results show that the Fe2+/Fe3+ reaction was reversible while the HQ/Q reaction was quasi-reversible on the oxygen deficient molybdenum oxide electrodes.
