On Economic Growth and Economical-Intensive Land Utilization of Industrial Construction Projects in Beijing Economic-Technological Development Area

This paper studies the relations between the economic growth and the land utilization level of industrial construction projects in Beijing Economic-Technological Development Area (BDA), thus to provide suggestions for the economical-intensive utilization of land resource and sustainable development. Set BDA as an example, this paper adopts the methodology of regulate analysis, case study and contrastive analysis to study its economic status quo and the current situation of land utilization of industrial construction projects, and makes a comparison with other similar development areas, provinces and cities. Result of the study indicate that the utilization level of land is quite high in BDA, and the shortage of land resource for industrial construction projects has become the bottleneck of economic growth. Therefore this paper concludes that in addition to sticking on the economical-intensive land utilization, new developmental space of land for industrial construction projects must be explored to ensure BDA's leading role in promoting Beijing's economic growth.
