Integer Frequency Offset Estimation Based on ML Algorithm in OFDM Systems

摘要
OFDM signal is very sensitive to frequency offset, it is necessary to estimate the carrier frequency offset. Frequency offset can be divided into two parts: integer frequency offset (IFO) and fraction frequency offset (FFO). The ML algorithm is a good synchronization algorithm, but it cannot estimate the IFO. We design a new method to estimate the IFO based on ML algorithm, which adding position marker to the OFDM sequence. By simulation, IFO estimator has better performance than the conventional method.
