The documents from St. Petersburg Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences Archive and the State Archive of the Russian Federation are introduced into the scholarship for the first time as the background to reconstruct the stages of biography and works for the collection and research of melodies of the Turkic peoples of the Crimea by ethnographer Arkadii Karlovich Konchevskii (1883-1969). As a research fellow of the Institute of Musical Science, he participated in expeditions into the Crimea, where he succeeded in collecting of a unique collection of Crimean Tatar music instruments and compiled collections of songs of Crimean Turks, with his participation harmonized and published with scores. The core of A. A. Konchevskii's work are his points on the "internationalization", mutual influence of song cultures of different peoples of the Crimea, and the influence of historical events on the topics of folklore works. The researcher's scholarly heritage scattered through various musical editions from the period has been systematised.
