摘要：
A large proportion of humanity depends for its sustenance on the food production increases brought about through the application of fertilizers to crops. The increasing use of fertilizer in agricultural crops has boosted production per unit area, increasing the total supply of food as well as contributing to the quality of food. However in some cases high yield reduces the content of essential elements in harvested products. Interest in nutrient absorption and accumulation is derived from the need to increase crop productivity by better nutrition and also to improve the nutritional quality of plants as foods and feeds.
