摘要：

This paper studies the, relationship among strategic capabilities, strategic orientations and firm performance under a transitional background. Survey,is used to collect data of State owned enterprises (SOEs) located in western and eastern areas of China. Empirical. results show that strategic capabilities influence strategic orientations significant, especially the effect of management capabilities. Riskness orientation is positively and significantly related to firni performance. The implication of this research is discussed.
