摘要
This paper presents the implementation and control of Unified Power Flow Controller (UPFC) to control active and reactive power independently in a transmission line. It is basically consists of two voltage source converters one is Static Synchronous Compensator (STATCOM) and another is Static Synchronous Series Compensator (SSSC). Multi-pulse Neutral point converter (NPC) converter is used which allows to decrease the Total harmonic distortion (THD) content and doubles the converter voltage. Starting from the modulation strategies, control scheme and finally, UPFC is implemented and analysed in MATLAB/Simulink. The simulation results mimic the presented control scheme with good dynamics characteristics.
