摘要
Reprocessing techniques are developed for high-resolution images of shallow structures and stratigraphic features from reflection data originally obtained for deep seismic studies. Conventional 58-channel data with a 2-ms sampling interval from the continental slope in the East Sea of Korea are used for subsequent tests to determine the adequate processing sequence and optimal parameters for high-resolution sections. Compared with conventionally processed data, vertical resolution of the newly processed sections is greatly enhanced through a series of processing including deconvolution both before and after stack and frequency filters applied to near traces only. The stack section of 100% coverage shows better resolution than the 6-fold section in the sedimentary body above the acoustic basement. On the contrary, the latter section bears higher signal-to-noise ratios compared with the former one.
