摘要
A planar ultrawideband (UWB) antenna with dual notched bands is proposed in this paper. The antenna consists of a plier shaped patch and a double T-shaped ground plane. An etched Pi-shaped slot is added in the feedline and a square splitring stub is inserted in the slot of the patch to realize dual notched band characteristics. The simulated results illustrated a satisfying impedance bandwidth of 9 GHz (3-12 GHz), in which range the voltage standing wave ratio (VSWR) is less than 2. The notch frequency band is from 3.3 GHz to 3.8 GHz and from 5.1 GHz to 5.9 GHz, respectively. The proposed antenna can be an attractive candidate in a variety of UWB applications.
