摘要
The potential quality of the final migration product ('image quality') together with the associated price tag should be the ultimate criteria to assess a planned seismic survey. In this light, we propose that the industry should evaluate acquisition geometries in terms of: * amplitude accuracy and resolution of the migrated data (signal issue) * noise-suppression rate (noise issue) * balance between shot and geophone effort (economical issue), assuming the application of a standard processing sequence and given a certain macro subsurface model.
