Supply and waste water disposal at MD papier in plattling

Increasing wastewater loads and planned modifications in production required the extension of the existing wastewater-treatment-plant (WWTP) for MD Papier in Plattling. In this context MD investigated alternative solutions that should lead to cost-optimised and sustainable fresh-water-production and wastewater treatment Therefore, the entire sector was transferred and is managed by Veolia Water, a specialised service provider, since April 2004. Veolia Water was also responsible for the extension of the WWTP that was already put in operation in June 2004. The first results of the cooperation in Plattling demonstrate that Outsourcing of water supply and wastewater treatment can be performed successfully with significant advantages for the paper maker.
