摘要
This work presents a dynamic cutting force model of oblique cutting by considering the oblique cutting operation, the relationship among cutting angles, the effects of wave removal and wave cutting on the fluctuation of shear angle, the variation of the instantaneous uncut chip thickness, and the variation of the chip flow angle. An equivalent orthogonal cutting plane that contains both the cutting velocity and the chip flow velocity vectors is defined for the oblique cutting operation whose cutting behaviour may be treated simply as a modified plane strain problem. The dynamic cutting force model is constructed initially from the fluctuation of the shear angle, in which the critical width of cut in the cutting system is estimated in terms of the consequent damping energy. The predicted critical width of cut is consistent with the results of the oblique cutting experiments.
