摘要
A novel design of a slotted triangular microstrip antenna for dual-frequency operation is proposed and experimentally studied. By embedding and inverted V-shaped slot close to the vertex of a triangular microstrip patch, dual-frequency operation of the microstrip antenna can be achieved using an inset microstrip-line feed. The two operating frequencies have parallel polarization planes and broadside radiation characteristics. Also, the frequency ratio, in the range 1.37-1.59, of the two frequencies can be controlled by the length of the embedded slot. Details of the obtained dual-frequency performances are presented and discussed. (C) 2000 John Wiley & Sons, Inc.
