摘要
Wide area damping controller (WADC) provides the adequate damping to the inter-area modes by using the remote area signal. Wide-Area Measurement System (WAMS) can provide more accurate dynamic data from wide geographical areas. However, the communication time delay in the wide area control loop deteriorates the performance of the controllers and may degrade the system stability. In this paper, speed based power oscillation damping controller, fuzzy logic wide area damping controller and Ho., controller are designed to provide the damping of the low frequency oscillations. The communication delay is considered in the nonlinear simulation to transmit the wide area remote signal to the controller. Finally, 39 bus power system is considered to verify the efficacious of the designed controllers.
