Advancement of cement science and technology in China

A new type of suspension preheating and precalcining technique with high solid-gas mass ratio (HSGR technology) which results in lower energy consumption and more steady operation of cement calcining process, will become a leading direction of cement technology. Cement industry will become a pioneer of the ecological industries by widely using industrial slag, the wastes from construction and municipality solid waste. The revolutionary development of cement industry depends on the initial breakthrough of fundamental researches on the new material and its manufacturing process. Principally, the assessment of initial breakthrough in fundamental study should be made based on the following: Whether the finding could provide solutions for the urgent problems confronted in industry practice, whether the finding could cover the predecessor's achievement, whether it elaborated new viewpoints that the predecessor didn't does and whether it played a guidance role for the advancement of technology.
