Synthesis and characterization of some novel 7-substitued Benzopyrano [3,4-d]imidazoles derivatives

摘要
Imidazole and coumarin are most widely used heterocyclic scaffolds which are used in synthesis of drug molecules. A series of 7-subsitituted coumarins have been synthesized by route of substitution and condensation reactions of 1 mol of 2,3-dibromodihydrocoumarines and 2 mol of urea and thiourea in ethanol as a solvent. The reactions were carried out thermally as well as by irradiation with microwave. Structure elucidation of these newly designed compounds have been confirmed by basis of IR, H-1 NMR, C-13 NMR, Mass spectral datas. This novel method involved simple experimental procedure, short time and excellent yield. (C) 2020 Elsevier Ltd. All rights reserved.
