摘要
A sediment transport model using depth-averaged and moment equations has been established by Guo and Jin (1999a). However, it is impossible for sediment transport models to avoid any coefficients in the calculation. Like many other models, this model also contains coefficients. The objective of this paper is to find some semi-theoretical formulas to estimate these coefficients in order that, in practical application, the uncertainty in selecting coefficients may be avoided. Verification shows that the coefficients estimated from mathematical formulas give an excellent simulation of the channel bed deformation. The simulated profiles of velocity and concentration from the assumed and Rouse's equation agree with the measured considerably.
