摘要
In Tokyo Metropolitan Area, there is one of the densest railway networks in the world. Passengers are provided with the high level services such as mutual direct and high frequent train operation. The passengers, however, suffer from the negative impact such as inconvenience when train traffic is disrupted by an accident. In particular, during peak hours, they have to commute in a congested train for long time. This is a kind of paradox and a serious social problem which should be solved immediately. The objective of this study is to visualize the results of train operation when train traffic is disrupted on the basis of the actual data. The study illustrates the several cases when trains are seriously delayed by using actual result operation data in order to analyse the difference caused by the factors such as circumstances of the companies, situations of the accident and railway line, duration of accident and so on.
