A robust MDS algorithm for TDOA-based passive source localization by using a single calibration emitter

摘要
Sensor position error is known to degrade the passive source localization accuracy significantly. To deal with this problem, first, the noisy sensor position is improved by a single calibration emitter. Then, the improved sensor positions are used to estimate the target position by the algebraic MDS method. The simulation results demonstrate that the proposed solution is able to attain the CRLB when the sensor position error is small, and has a more robust performance than the two-step WLS method with large sensor errors.
