Experimental performance of an L-band microstrip antenna

摘要
This article presents simple steps for designing a microstrip patch antenna operating in the L-band. The experimental results are discussed for an antenna that achieves a 20 percent bandwidth centered around a frequency of 1.61 GHz. Measurement of gain and radiation patterns are also presented. This antenna can be useful for satellite communications, personal communications network and digital wireless telecommunication system applications.
