摘要
The teachers continuing education is a constant process of improvement, studies and reflections, which must occur throughout the teaching practice. The present study aimed to understand the process of continuing education in Children's Education, this is justified by the necessity to show the teachers how they need to adopt a more critical posture and perceive themselves as responsible for the improvement of their teaching practice. The general objective was to understand the teachers perception and expectations about the early childhood education as well as the actions of continuing education in the municipality of Araguatins. To achieve this objective, a descriptive and exploratory quali-quantitative study was carried out using a questionnaire and an interview as data collection. It was perceived through the results that the great majority of the teachers value the continued background and perceive this as a rich contribution to their professional improvement and their teaching practice.
