摘要
The heritability of hypersensitivity of European plum (Prunus x domestica L.) against Plum pox virus (PPV) was investigated by screening the progenies of 25 different crossing combinations. The proportion of hypersensitive seedlings in the progenies was found to be sufficient to use this trait in breeding programs efficiently. The phenotype of hypersensitivity against PPV was described based on the observation of more than 1150 seedlings. Hypersensitivity was found to be a quantitative trait. Those genotypes classified as extremely hypersensitive cannot be infected with PPV naturally. Histological and histochemical investigations contributed to explain the macroscopic visible characteristics of hypersensitivity of European Plum against PPV. These results are based on inoculation experiments with PPV-D- and -M-strain.
